Let me give you an idea of how I do my Dundee drawings…… before I set off I’ve collaged my paper to help me get started. I’ve picked the building out and torn up those lovely colours from magazines that have inspired me and then I cycle, okay tricycle into town, usually on a nice quiet Sunday afternoon. I set up near my building and get going with my pen. Once I’ve got a good way in to the drawing, or the weather changes, I head to the nearest lovely coffee shop to add finer details and a little more collage. I have lunch, a little catch up with friends and pedal home with my new drawing to make the final adjustments – usually leaves. The Bach is one of my favourite restaurants to draw in as it has a little desk in the window where I can have peace to concentrate. It’s a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
